Modern and Architectural Design
Villa Sérilence is a small, adults only and modern bed and breakfast with two spacy rooms. Each bedroom is approximately 18 m2 and has its own private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The rooms have a spacious terrace facing South-West, offering a great view of the valleys and breathtaking sunsets.
Your room is directly accessible form the terras outside. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating. There is a mini fridge, kettle for tea and coffee in each room, and of course Optic Fiber wifi/internet. Overnight stays include the use of the heated pool, the garden and sun loungers and the petanque place.
Linen such as towels, bathrobes, bed linen is included and beach towels are possible on loan. There is also a laundry service for your own clothing, at a small fee of 10 euro's per wash.
Breakfast is served between 7.45 am and 9.15 am. We would appreciate your letting us know what time you wish to have breakfast, so that we can ensure it is fresh and ready for you on time.
Free parking is available on the enclosed site of Villa Sérilence. Motorbikes/cycles can be parked indoors at night.
Room 1 "Coquilles"
Room "Coquilles" is located on the South-Southwest wing, and features two large sliding doors with access to the terrace. There you can enjoy the magnificent view of the valleys and the village of La Garde Freinet. Don't miss the amazing colorfull sunsets form your private terrace.
"Coquilles" has a double bed of 160 x 200cm.
Room 2 "Azur"
Room "Azur" is cooler and located on the Southwest wing and has a large sliding door to the terrace. You have views of the mountains and the valleys and the magnificent sunsets. It has a small private patio-garden on the cool North side.
"Azur" has two beds of 90 x 200cm (you choose whether to have as double or two singles).
Arrival at Sérilence is as off 17:00 till 22:00 hrs. Let us know, the day before your arrival, what time we can expect you, so that we may welcome you personally.
Departure is no later than 10:30 hrs, this way you will have enough time to enjoy your breakfast.
And of course, we would like to see you back again!
Rates
You are welcome to stay at Villa Sérilence as of three nights. The rates are given per room (for 2 persons max.), per night and includes linnen and breakfast, but not the 1,11 € Tourist Tax p.p/n.
Villa Sérilence is open from the 11th of July till the 3rd of August and has an attractive 10% discount for a minimum of seven nights.

Sérilence is a Bed & Breakfast in La Garde Freinet, close to the Riviera Coast. It is in the immediate hinterland of Saint Tropez and Sainte Maxime (eache at 20km) and has the lively Côte d'Azur at your fingertips. Villa Sérilence is situated in the calm and peaceful setting of the overwhelming nature of the MASSIF des MAURES and is at approximately 1 km from the authentic Provencal village of La Garde Freinet (on 350m altitude). The Bed & Breakfast is newly built on a quiet private road. Villa Sérilence is surrounded by hills and has a panoramic view deep into the valleys (as far out as the Mont Sainte Victoire).
Starting from Sérilence you have all your touristic needs within reach. Sun, sea, beach, culture, nature, peace and quiet, good food and drinks and of course lots of interesting and inspiring (day) trips.
Environment
B&B Sérilence is sittuated near the Mediterranean coast and in the mountain ridges of the Maures; 'Vous etes entre Azur et Maures'. From Sérilence you can make trips to Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime, Grimaud, Ramatuelle, La Croix Valmer, Borme les Mimosas, Fréjus/Saint Raphael and the Esterelle mountains if you go towards the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Or inland towards Tourtour, Lorgues, Cotignac, Fayence or the famous Gorges du Verdon with Lac Sainte Croix. You can easily also take daytrips to Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Monaco, San Remo (Italy), Marseille or Aix en Provence.
The nearest beach is at the picturesque harbour village of Port Grimaud (15 km), in the Bay of Saint Tropez. From here you can also cross by boat to Saint Tropez and
Sainte Maxime.... (that is now in the Top 10 of Best Holidays Sites 2019 in Europe!!!).
Because we know this area for over 40 years, we can enthusiastically best advise you.
La Garde-Freinet
La Garde Freinet is an authentic mountain village with a long history. The first mention dates back to the late 9th century. The village lies in the middle of the nature reserve "MASSIF des MAURES".
In the hills are many (hiking) trails with beautiful views of the MASSIF and across the Mediterranean (Bay of Saint Tropez). It is also a privileged spot for hiking, cycling and motorcycling sports.
The village itself has a variety of restaurants, bars, galleries, shops including bakers, butchers and supermarkets. Twice a week, Wednesday mornings and Sunday mornings there is a market with fresh local produce and specialities.

Directions
Once in the village of La Garde Freinet, take the D75 direction of Plan de la Tour.
Follow this road approximately 1100 meters (0,75 miles). After the 1100 meters, turn left and immediately go UP the road, this is the Chemin du CURNIER.
After 300 meters you will see on your LEFT the entance to a private road, marked with a sign on the letterbox of Villa Sérilence on your left.
Take that road and continue to almost the end (following the right bend). You will
come upon the gated entrance (on your left) of Villa Sérilence.

Day trips
Villa Sérilence is central to places like Monaco, Nice, and Cannes to the East, or Marseille, Aix-en-Provence to the West of our coast. Going inland you can easily make day trips through the Gorges du Verdon (Grand Canyon of Provence) or take the Route Napoleon for example. These sights are within one and a half hour’s drive from Villa Sérilence.

Wine routes
The quality of Provencal wines has been greatly perfected during the last decades. These wines have become widely appreciated. In the direct environment of Villa Sérilence you will find many interesting and beautiful wineries to visit for free. There are also a few wine routes/wine trips that you can make. You can chose which wineries you wish to visit for a wine-tasting experience.
Or you can visit the La Maison des Vins in Les Arcs-sur-Argens (25 km), where you can taste their large selection of rosé, white and red Côtes de Provence wines. Here you can buy wines from almost every wine domain of the Var.

Pampelonne - Saint Tropez
The Côte d'Azur is of course well known for its, sometimes high-profile, beach life, one of the most known being the wide sandy beaches of Pampelonne. Along the public beaches you can find private beach restaurants, some serve excellent food, which rent lounge beds and parasols. These beach restaurants will also offer services such as massage, shops and swimwear shows. At these beaches you can enjoy a relaxing day and/or evening of pure luxury.
All along the coastal area you will be able to enjoy beach life. Be aware of the dense traffic in high season and think to reserve in advance to avoid disappointment. We can take care of your reservations to ensure you will have a spot on your favourite beach.

Massif des Maures, hike & bike
La Garde Freinet is located in the middle of the natural reserve of the "MASSIF des MAURES". Throughout the hills are 10 hiking and BMX/VTT trails or so, each with magnificent views over the MASSIF and towards the Mediterranean coast. It is a wonderful environment for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders (horse rental via the Tourist Office of La Garde-Freinet).
There is also a walking discovery trail through the village of La Garde Freinet that takes you along the many fountains and Lavoirs (public wash basins) and leads you up to the Cross and further to the ruins of the Fort Freinet (which probably dates back to 900 ac.).

The Massif des Maures stretches over approximately 60 km from Hyères to Fréjus, and takes about a quarter of the Department, to a large extent along the coast. Covered with cork oaks and chestnut trees, offers 'Les Maures' a variegated landscape with breath-taking views and beautiful curvy country roads for motorbike and car trips.
The Massif des Maures forms one of the roughest and oldest regions of Provence. Nestled between the foothills, or pasted up against the mountain slopes, 26 privileged villages.
Discover their true gems like the beautiful Chartreuse de la Verne, or the beautiful villages of La Garde-Freinet and Collobrières. From Notre-Dame des Anges is the view over the 'Iles d'or' and the peninsula of Giens exceptional.
